Texans worked out former Vikings P Matt Wile

A week after being released by the Vikings, Aaron Wilson has reported that punter Matt Wile worked out for the Houston Texans.

With the Texans bringing back Trevor Daniel, Wile won’t be Houston’s punter in 2019.

Chances are Wile will be out of a job in 2019 considering how close his release was to the start of the NFL season was, and how rare it is for a punter to be released midway through an NFL season.

Wile, 27, spent last season with the Vikings and in 2016, he was with the Cardinals and Falcons.

Per Spotrac, Wile had made $668,780 in his career.
