Texans will face Chiefs in AFC divisional playoffs

The Houston Texans will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional playoffs Sunday, Jan. 12, at 2:05 p.m. CT at Arrowhead Stadium.

Because the Tennessee Titans, the lowest seed in the AFC at No. 6, knocked off the No. 3 New England Patriots, it means that the conference’s lowest seed is heading to No. 1 Baltimore to face the Ravens. As a result, that puts the No. 4 Texans on the road versus the No. 2 Chiefs.

The Texans beat the Chiefs 31-24 in Week 6 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Texans were without cornerback Johnathan Joseph in the game as he was dealing with a hamstring injury, and the Texans also lost cornerback Bradley Roby due to a hamstring injury during the course of the game.

If the Texans can get past Kansas City, then it will be the first AFC Championship Game in franchise history. If the Texans win and somehow the Titans beat the Ravens, then the AFC Championship Game would be held at NRG Stadium.
