Texans vs. Jaguars: Point spread, over/under for Week 2

The Houston Texans will get the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at NRG Stadium, and with the visiting team debuting a rookie quarterback, it has influenced odds-makers to favor the reigning AFC South champions.

According to BetMGM, the Texans are 8.5-point favorites against the Jaguars, representing the second-largest odds as of Wednesday. Only the Baltimore Ravens being 13.5-point home favorites against the Arizona Cardinals is higher.

The spread for Texans-Jaguars is at 43.5, the second-lowest point total of Week 2. Only the match-up between the Chicago Bears and Denver Broncos has a lower point total at 40.0.

Jacksonville will start rookie Gardner Minshew under center in place of Nick Foles, who sustained a broken collarbone in the 40-28 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Texans will be looking to quickly get the taste of a spoiled comeback out of their mouths as they lost 30-28 in the final seconds on a 58-yard field goal thanks to the New Orleans Saints.
