Texans vs. Chargers: Point spread, over/under for Week 3

The Houston Texans will fly to California to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3. Two playoff teams from 2018 with 1-1 records, both are looking for the win to stay in the thick of their respective division races.

The oddsmakers say that it’ll be a tight game in Los Angeles, putting the Chargers as 3.5-point favorites at home, per BetMGM — though, they are famously known for having little home-field advantage at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The over/under stands at 47.5. Though both teams are coming off of low-scoring affairs (Texans, a 13-12 win over Jacksonville, Chargers a 13-10 loss to Detroit), each boast offenses capable of scoring in bunches.

Houston’s Deshaun Watson will duke it out with Los Angeles’ Philip Rivers; it’s expected that the two aggressive quarterbacks could duke it out in Hollywood.

The last time the Texans faced the Chargers was in 2016, when then-San Diego was able to leave Houston with a 21-13 lead. The Texans will get to avenge that loss at Dignity Health Sports Park at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday, Sept. 22nd.
