Texans to have camera in draft war room

The Houston Texans will have a camera in their draft war room again giving fans a fly-on-the-wall view of the happenings during the 2019 NFL draft.

According to a release from NFL Media Thursday, the Texans are one of 22 teams to have a camera inside their draft war room. For the 10th consecutive draft, the team with the No. 1 overall pick, in this case the Arizona Cardinals, will have a war room camera.

The Texans pick at 23rd overall. While fans will have to wait throughout the first night of the draft on April 25 to see any action from general manager Brian Gaine and company, at least they will get to see their front office go to work. In 2018, the Texans did not have a pick until the third round.

““What I learned is it’s hard to wait for two rounds until you can pick a player in the third round,” Gaine told reporters Thursday of what he learned last year during his first draft as a general manager. “You do a lot of watching.”

Instead, it will be the fans doing a lot of watching. Houston will make it interesting as they figure out how to address the offensive line and secondary with four picks in the top-100.
