Texans Talk Podcast: Scottish punter Jamie Gillan talks moving from rugby to football

The draft may be just a day away but that hasn’t stopped the Texans Wire working in some final minute interviews with potential draft prospects. Punter Jamie Gillan from Arkansas-Pine Bluff jumped on the Texans Talk Podcast to discuss his journey from rugby to American football.

Affectionately known as “The Scottish Hammer,” the 6-2 punter/kicker moved to The United States in his teens and made the move from rugby and soccer to football after seeing his high school kicker miss kicks. Hear how he found adjusting to the sport, and how he feels about the prospect of joining the NFL.
