Texans take Boston College OG Chris Lindstom in latest mock draft

The Houston Texans need help on the offensive line, and one way that they could address the issue is with guard Chris Lindstrom with the 23rd overall pick.

According to Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports, in his latest mock draft, the Texans beef up their offensive line by taking the former Boston College Golden Eagle in the first round.

Chris Lindstrom, OG, Boston College: Lindstrom was dominant for BC during the 2018 season, he followed that up with a very good Senior Bowl, and he’ll likely produce similar results at the combine later this month. Given that the Texans have to do a better job of protecting Deshaun Watson, Lindstrom could be a starter from Day 1.

Conventional thinking is that the Texans will fix the offensive line through the draft with tackle picks. However, Wilson takes the approach that the line, which gave up 62 sacks, the most in the NFL in 2018, needs to be completely overhauled.

Houston has veterans Senio Kelemete, Zach Fulton, and Greg Mancz in the middle. Adding Lindstrom would provide some youth, and taking Lindstrom in the first round would mean that he would start immediately.
