Texans take a left tackle Greg Little in NFL.com post free agency mock draft

After spending free agency shoring up the secondary and backup quarterback, the Houston Texans are still in need of reinforcements along the offensive line.

In Lance Zierlein’s mock draft on NFL.com, the Texans have an interest in Ole Miss left tackle Greg Little with their 23rd overall pick.

The Texans are hamstrung by a severe need at left tackle that may force them to reach or trade back. Dalton Risner or even Kaleb McGary could make sense here, but neither can play left tackle, while Little most certainly can.

If the Texans were to take Little, they would have blue chip talent at left tackle, and it would leave incumbent Julién Davenport and presumptive heir Martinas Rankin battling for the swing tackle spot behind Little and right tackle Seantrel Henderson.

While Houston’s offensive line would still have a ways to go, it would be two steps away from the Hell it was for quarterback Deshaun Watson, who took a league-high 62 sacks in 2018.
