Texans’ schedule doesn’t get easier after the Chiefs

On Sunday, the 3-2 Houston Texans will face the 4-1 Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead in Missouri. To many, that is the toughest game of the season. For the Texans, that is just the beginning.

After facing the Chiefs, the Texans will take an away game against the 3-2 Indianapolis Colts, who beat them twice out of three games in 2018, including playoffs. Then: the 3-2 Oakland Raiders at home, who are building momentum and will come off of a bye week.

The Jaguars will host the Texans, in London, after the Raiders game. Though currently 2-3, Jacksonville historically plays the Texans close. Following the bye, the Baltimore Ravens will host Houston, who are the division leaders of the AFC North at 3-2.

Another Colts game, in Houston, follows after the Ravens game. Then, the most onerous task of the season: the currently 6-0 New England Patriots, though, at home. Luckily, the schedule gets a bit easier in the last four weeks.

The Texans will face the off-and-on 2-3 Tennessee Titans twice (Week 15, 17) in the last month. In Week 14, the Denver Broncos will come to town. Though standing at a 1-4 record, Vic Fangio’s Broncos have played teams close.

Finally, sandwiched between the Titans games is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are led by widely respected coach Bruce Arians. The Bucs defense is revamped, though, they are 2-3.

In all, the Texans remaining schedule is littered with playoff teams. What do you think their record will be at the end of the season?
