Texans S Justin Reid sinks free throw wearing cast on wrist

Houston Texans safety Justin Reid may be recovering from wrist surgery, but that did not stop him from shooting the “opening shot” for the Houston Rockets Saturday ahead of their match-up against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Toyota Center.

The free throw the former 2018 third-round pick from Stanford made also went towards charity.

Reid collected 88 tackles, three interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, 10 pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries through 16 games in 2018, 12 of which he started.

The Rockets did not fare well despite Reid getting the night off on the right note. The Thunder overcame a large deficit to best Houston 117-112.
