Texans S Justin Reid says being a veteran team helps them process losses better

The Houston Texans sustained the worst loss in team history in Week 4 when the Buffalo Bills trampled them 40-0 at Highmark Stadium.

Even though the term “worst loss in team history,” has a ring to it worse than tinnitus, safety Justin Reid believes the bevy of veterans on the roster will help them get over the huge defeat and not allow it to affect the rest of the season.

I think everyone on this squad at one point or another has been on both ends of the scoreboard last week,” Reid said. “A lot of that is just staying even-keeled. When you win big, you don’t want to let that affect how you prepare next week, and the same whenever you lose big. You’ve still got to have that same mentality to prepare for the next week and go and put your best foot forward.”

The Texans will have a chance to put the loss behind them as they take on the New England Patriots Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Central Time at NRG Stadium.
