The Jacksonville Jaguars will take on their AFC South rivals in the Houston Texans across the pond at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The Jags will be the “home” team, which marks the seventh time that they have played in London. This Sunday will mark the first time in history that the Houston Texans have played in Wembley.
According to BetMGM, the odds-makers see this game as a pretty close matchup as the Texans are still only a 1.5-point favorite in their matchup versus the Jags. The line has not changed from the initial posting.
The Texans are 5-3 on the year and 4-4 against the spread. The Jaguars are 4-4 on the season but have a more successful record against the spread (5-3). The Jaguars last covered against the New York Jets last Sunday where they were 5.5-point favorites and won by a score of 29-15.
The money line is just as close with the Texans only a -121 favorite. This game would generally be referred to as a “pick ’em” meaning the lines are so close that a bettor would essentially be attempting to bet on who wins the game outright.
The over/under has also remained at 46.5 points. The Texans hold the edge offensively as they ranked No. 7 in scoring offense with a 26.5 point per game average. The Jaguars currently sit at No. 17 in scoring with a 21.6 point per game average.
No pun intended, but this game is definitely one for the books.
