Texans QB Deshaun Watson says team is focused on controlling what they can control

The Houston Texans put together their first winning streak of the 2020 season with a 41-25 win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving at Ford Field.

With the winning streak, there is a sense of energy that has hit the team, and quarterback Deshaun Watson says it has enabled them to just focus on their jobs.

“I mean, it’s a different energy,” Watson said. “These guys are just being free, guys having fun. Guys focusing on their job and controlling where they can control. That’s the biggest thing. And if we can just continue to focus on that, we’ve been winning, so the winning energy is definitely different than the losing energy. And we are taking care of the details and putting games away when we needed to, so that’s a big thing.”

Watson completed 17-of-25 for 318 yards and four touchdowns against the Lions. Houston returns to action on Dec. 6 as they commence their season series with the Indianapolis Colts at NRG Stadium.
