Texans QB Deshaun Watson doesn’t agree with Jalen Ramsey hot takes

Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is keeping tabs on his buddy from Jacksonville: Jalen Ramsey. The Jaguars cornerback, after losing to Watson’s Texans 13-12 on Sunday, asked for a trade out of Florida.

While the Ramsey process is ongoing, the void is filled with talk, rants, rave reviews, and anything to fuel speculation on the All-Pro 24-year-old cornerback.

One NFL analyst doing so is FOX Sports’ Marcellus Wiley, who claimed on “Speak For Yourself” that the Kansas City Chiefs — a team desperate for cornerback help — don’t need Ramsey.

Said Wiley: “He was 24th ranked as a cornerback last year. This year in two weeks, he’s already dropped to 89th ranked. If his trajectory is going south and your team trajectory is going north, why is this a conversation?”

Watson doesn’t agree with Wiley’s take. He responded on Twitter saying, “I don’t think I agree with this..”

Many people likely side with Watson. Despite Wiley’s rankings, Ramsey is a 24-year-old with two Pro-Bowls and a first-team All-Pro to his name.

If traded, the Texans will be happy to avoid playing a cornerback that DeAndre Hopkins says is, “Everything I think you want from a football player.”
