Texans LT Laremy Tunsil should available for Week 8 vs. Jaguars

The Houston Texans will be traveling across the pond for their Week 8 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Will standout left tackle Laremy Tunsil — who injured his shoulder on Sunday — be joining them?

“Tunsil, I feel like — we’ll get another medical report on him this morning, but from what I heard last night, I feel like he’ll have a chance to play,” said coach Bill O’Brien on Sunday.

Tunsil injured his shoulder late into Sunday’s 27-24 win over the Oakland Raiders in Houston. He did not finish the game, as, instead, Chris Clark flipped to left tackle while Dan Skipper inserted at the right tackle position.

Indications, post-game, pointed to Tunsil’s injury not being severe. If so, the Texans avoided a worst-case scenario situation. He is an integral piece to the offensive line’s improvement and is considered to be one of the best at his position in the NFL.

Houston traded two first-round selections, a second and change to the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 31 for Tunsil and wide receiver Kenny Stills. Though 25 years old, the left tackle is a leader for a rebuilt Deshaun Watson-protection unit.
