Texans’ J.J. Watt congratulates Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski on an incredible career

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement on Instagram Sunday, and it drew reactions from across the NFL.

One of the most prominent figures to wish the three-time Super Bowl champion well in life after football was Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

Congrats on an incredible career @RobGronkowski. One of the best to ever do it. Best wishes on whatever comes next!

Gronkowski caught 79 touchdown passes in his career from 2010-18. In the same span, Texans tight ends caught a grand total of 53.

One thing is for sure. Newly signed Texans safety Tashaun Gipson’s assignment for whenever Houston faces New England just got a little easier.
