Texans ILB Benardrick McKinney has been dynamic in pass coverage

Houston Texans inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney earned a Pro Bowl selection a season ago, and now he is continuing to build on his productive 2018 season.

According to the football analytics firm Pro Football Focus, the former 2015 second-round pick from Mississippi State has earned an 82.2 grade in pass coverage, the third-best among linebackers.

McKinney has collected 60 combined sacks, a half-sack, two pass breakups, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.

The Texans get back in action in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. Houston is in a competitive AFC South race with the Indianapolis Colts and have a half-game lead on them with a tenuous hold on first place. The Texans will need their best effort from McKinney, in pass coverage and run support, as they take on the dual threat dynamics of quarterback Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense.
