Texans guard Zach Fulton suffers mild turf toe injury versus Cowboys

The worst first drive in Houston Texans preseason history isn’t quite as bad as initially expected.

While running back Lamar Miller suffered a gruesome helmet-to-knee injury leading to being carted off the field against the Dallas Cowboys Saturday night at AT&T Stadium, Zach Fulton’s cart off for a foot injury isn’t considered serious.

The Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson reports that the right guard’s suffered a mild turf toe, and isn’t considered serious.

Fulton suffered the injury while on a Deshaun Watson sack. The guard was hit from behind while Watson took the hit. He was down on the ground before trainers carted off into the bowels of AT&T Stadium.

Fulton’s turf toe is the Texans’ third offensive line injury of the past ten days. Last Saturday against the Detroit Lions, rookie guard/tackle Tytus Howard broke his finger but is probable to return Week 1. Left tackle Matt Kalil had his foot stepped on before the Week 2 game and has yet to return to action.
