Texans GM Nick Caserio admits trading QB Deshaun Watson is an option

Since taking the job as the general manager of the Houston Texans, Nick Caserio has answered a plethora of questions surrounding Deshaun Watson’s trade request. For the longest time, Caserio has dismissed all trade talks surrounding his Pro-Bowl quarterback, but it appears Caserio has had a change of heart over the past few weeks.

In a recent interview with Albert Breer of SI.com, Caserio entertained the idea of trading Watson by stating, “I think we’ll take it one day at a time…Ultimately, we’ll do what we feel is best for the organization.”

Caserio’s interview was the first time he publicly discussed Watson’s trade request since David Culley’s introductory press conference in January.

During the conference, Caserio reiterated the Texans’ commitment to Watson by declaring, “We have zero interest in trading the player…We have a great plan. A great vision for him and for this team and his role on our team and we look forward to the opportunity to spend more time with him here this spring.”
