Texans expect a bounce-back game from WR Will Fuller

Two weeks ago, Will Fuller was the man in Houston. The Texans receiver hauled in 14 receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns in a 53-32 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The same can’t be said after his performance in a 31-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Fuller caught five Deshaun Watson-thrown passes for 44 yards. His stat line would look far prettier had he not dropped three touchdown passes.

“I mean, he had a bad day,” said Texans offensive coordinator Tim Kelly on Thursday. “I think he would come in here and tell you that.”

Kelly expects Fuller to turn it around for Sunday’s Week 7 bout with the Indianapolis Colts, noting his professionalism and impressive week of practice.

“He’s a professional. He’s come out and he’s proven time and time again that he can go out and make big plays for us. Just two weeks ago, he had a monster day,” Kelly continued. “He had a bad day and he’s had a good week of practice, so hopefully we can keep it going.”

The Texans offense is at its best when Fuller is playing to his potential. If the speedy wide-out can manage a redemption game on Sunday, Houston may be leaving Indianapolis with a 5-2 record and a firm grasp on the AFC South division.
