Texans DL Charles Omenihu swaps jersey with Cowboys G Connor Williams

The Longhorn connection was real between two Texas football teams on Saturday night. After the Houston Texans’ 34-0 loss to the hands of the Dallas Cowboys, two Texas Longhorns swapped jerseys.

Former teammates Charles Omenihu and Connor Williams enjoyed battling each other, then autographing and swapping their own game-worn jerseys.

Omenihu, a pass-rushing defensive end, and Williams, an offensive lineman, aren’t the foes like the two positions usually tend to be. Between 2015 and 2017 the two were teammates at the University of Texas; attempting to ascend a once-dead program under Tom Herman.

They are used to facing each other; doing so at AT&T wasn’t anything new, upset, for some brighter lights and different colored uniforms.

Omenihu and Williams may have duked it out on Saturday, but all love between the two shared Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. While they are in different ends of the state, the bond between fellow burnt orange stars can block any rivalries, on the field, between the two.
