Texans DE J.J. Watt says Steelers drama is like watching the Kardashians

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has room to opine about the Pittsburgh Steelers. After all, his youngest brother, T.J., is a star edge rusher for the AFC North club.

The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year went on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Myers” Friday and Myers asked him if he cares more about the drama in Pittsburgh because T.J. is on the team.

“It does seem very dramatic,” Watt said. “It’s like somebody that’s watching the Kardashians and I can call one of the Kardashians. So, I’ll call my brother and see everything on TV and, ‘Okay, give me the real story.’ And it’s pretty wild. It’s pretty wild.”

The Steelers started the 2018 season with a lengthy holdout from running back Le’Veon Bell that was not resolved. The season culminated in receiver Antonio Brown missing a critical Week 17 win-and-get-in game against the Cincinnati Bengals. As the offseason unfolds, so does the drama.
