Texans DE J.J. Watt breaks kid’s bike seat riding to practice at Lambeau Field

Growing up in Wisconsin as a Green Bay Packers fan, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt must’ve been excited to join the Packers’ annual tradition of riding bikes to training camp.

Unfortunately, most bikes aren’t made to support a 6-foot-5, 288-pound NFL player. Not only did Watt look hilariously oversized for the bicycle, but the bike itself also may never be the same.

The bike, suited for 5-year-old Biraj Sadhu, may support a child, but it’s not Watt-proof. Shortly after Watt hopped on, the bike broke because the seat couldn’t support his weight. Instead of biking in, he had to carry it on his shoulders into training camp.

“OK, it’s not big-man approved,” Watt told the Houston Chronicle’s Matt Young.

Luckily, Biraj won’t be bikeless for long. Texans officials made sure it will be replaced.

In the end, Watt got to participate in a tradition he watched growing up. While doing so had its road bumps, at least it happened. However, Watt isn’t a child anymore; maybe next time he rides a bike, it’ll be better suited for a 30-year-old football player, not a 5-year-old.
