Texans DC Romeo Crennel invites Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes to throw no-look passes

The Houston Texans’ newest opposing quarterback,  Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, can do many things. He can throw 50 touchdowns in a season, win MVP in his second year, and can executive the no-look pass.

Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel hopes Mahomes attempts to do the last, considering the hit-or-miss nature of the no-look pass.

“I hope he throws no-look passes because he doesn’t always hit all of those. I saw one earlier this year that he missed a guy in the end zone on a no-look,” said Crennel during Thursday’s media availability. “If they turn out that way, I’ll take them.”

The no-look pass Crennel is referring to took place in Week 1 of the season. Mahomes, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, had a wide-open Travis Kelce for a touchdown. Instead of hitting him with a regular pass, Mahomes went the no-look route and missed it.

If the Chiefs’ game plan is to attack the Texans defense with no-look passes, Houston may be leaving Arrowhead Stadium with a win.
