Texans cornerback Bradley Roby excited to play alongside J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney

After 79 games for the Denver Broncos from 2014-18, cornerback Bradley Roby has moved to new pastures with the Houston Texans, a side desperate for some fresh blood in the cornerback room.

The former first-rounder from Ohio State is out to prove he is elite with the Texans and has said it is going to be “great” to play alongside players of the caliber of defensive end J.J. Watt and edger rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

“I played with Von Miller for the past five years, and anytime you’ve got guys like that on the edge that can get to the quarterback, it makes your job a lot easier, but also more opportunities for turnovers because the quarterback is flustered and everything like that,” Roby said on a conference call with Houston media on March 14. “It’s nothing but a blessing to play with guys like that. So, I look forward to it. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

The Texans will be hoping that Clowney does end up reporting this season, as he enters his first season under the franchise tag. Regardless, chances are Roby will be seeing a lot of the field as Houston revamps its starting corner rotation.
