Texans center Greg Mancz leaves with leg injury

Houston Texans center Greg Mancz left the first quarter of Thursday’s preseason game with the Green Bay Packers with a leg injury.

With 5:25 in the first quarter, the Texans had to burn their first timeout as Mancz hobbled to the sideline under his own power.

Zach Fulton, who was the starting right guard for Houston, slid over to center. Rookie second-round pick Max Scharping took over for Fulton at right guard. Flanking Fulton’s left was another rookie in first-round pick Tytus Howard.

The Texans offensive line already had availability issues heading into the first game of preseason as starting center Nick Martin has been absent for much of training camp.
