Texans 100: Facts and Figures for Falcons, No. 1-25

The Houston Texans take on the Atlanta Falcons at noon at NRG Stadium for their Week 5 tilt. Houston doesn’t want to fall to 2-3 in an AFC South that already has all four teams at 2-2, and the Falcons seek to get off the ground with a 2-3 record and not slip to 1-4.

We start off the facts by taking a look at some playoff odds, series facts, and quarterback Deshaun Watson.

1. The Texans are 2-2 for the seventh time in franchise history. None of those previous six teams made the playoffs with only the 2009 team finishing with a winning record at 9-7.

2. Since 1990, when playoff formats were last tinkered with, 108/278 teams that started 2-2 made the playoffs with 44/108 playoff qualifiers winning the division.

6. The Texans’ 2-2 record against the Falcons is their second-best against a NFC South opponent:

Buccaneers: 3-1

Falcons: 2-2

Panthers: 2-3

Saints: 2-3
