Leading petrol station chains across the UK - including Texaco, Shell, Esso, BP, Jet and Murco - have suspended their £30 limits on buying diesel and petrol following over a week of tight restrictions.
The EG Group's removal of the spending cap comes amid signs the petrol crisis could stabilising.
Many petrol stations across the country imposed a spending cap to ration supplies last week as the resulting queues caused chaos for other road users, Birmingham Live reports.

A spokesman for the EG Group said: "Following a significant improvement in fuel availability at our sites, with customer purchasing behaviour returning to normal levels in the majority of locations, we are pleased to confirm that we can now remove the £30 cap on buying fuel.
"That said, we still continue to experience some challenges, primarily in our locations in the south and the southeast, but following the actions from the government to secure additional drivers from the military this week, we expect availability issues easing in the coming days."
The comments came as average petrol prices rose 0.91p a litre in a week from 135.19p last week to 136.1p on Tuesday, and diesel 1.7p from 137.9p to 139.2p, according to new Government figures.
BP Esso and Shell all operate forecasts up and down the West Midlands region and are rivalled by supermarket chain forecourts.
It is the highest level for petrol since it cost 136.9p in September 2013, and for diesel since it was 139.15p in October of the same year.
