Tevin Coleman back at practice for 49ers

The 49ers on Wednesday had all hands on deck for their first practice in the final week leading up to Super Bowl LIV.

Running back Tevin Coleman was back in practice after missing all of the Bye week sessions to recover from a separated shoulder he suffered in the NFC championship game.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said during the Bye week that Coleman was on track to return for the Super Bowl.

Coleman didn’t go through a full practice though. He was limited, along with linebacker Kwon Alexander and strong safety Jaquiski Tartt. Alexander and Tartt were both limited throughout the Bye week as well, but Shanahan is optimistic about all three going into the Sunday.

Perhaps the most notable name for the 49ers is one not on the injury report. Defensive end Dee Ford has been limited our out for practices most of the season while he dealt with quad and hamstring injuries. He was a full participant Thursday which may bode well for an increased snap count against the pass-happy Chiefs.

The Chiefs had a fully healthy practice as well, which means both teams appear to be in line to have their entire rosters available for the biggest game of the year.
