Test yourself with our Christmas motoring emoji quiz - see how many of 16 you can guess

Changes to Christmas lockdown rules will have scuppered festive plans for millions of Brits.

The Chris Rea classic Driving Home for Christmas hits a little differently this year, as families are forced to spend December 25 apart.

According to the brains at Select Car Leasing, many will be looking for something to do before tucking into turkey and sprouts.

All 16 clues refer to a motoring term or car-related object.

And while some may appear straightforward, there are a fair few that will require some lateral thinking to arrive at the correct answer.

Emoji quizzes have been one of the big hits of 2020 – as most people found themselves twiddling their thumbs at home due to the global health pandemic, desperate for ways to tax their brains and keep their spirits up.

Answers are below – no peeking too early!

  1. Steering wheel (steer/ring/wheel)
  2. Windscreen wiper (wind/screen/why?/pear)
  3. Sleeping policeman
  4. Tachometer (taco/meat/ear)
  5. Anti-lock brakes
  6. Shock absorbers
  7. Fuel injection (phew/Hell/injection)

To fill the void left by festive motoring, they have developed a fiendish but fun festive quiz to really test the grey matter.
