Test your knowledge of Merseyrail stations

This month marks 50 years since Merseyrail started service the region.

The famous yellow livery, now known so well across the City Region, first appeared on Mersey trains in October 1971.

It was then the name ‘Merseyrail’ was applied to trains running on the Wirral line, with the new branding being rolled-out onto the Northern line the following the year.

And it wasn't just the look of the trains that changed, station entrance signage, timetables, posters and more were altered to carry the Merseyrail name.

On an average weekday, more than 100,000 passengers use the network - but how well do they know the stations they travel through?
