NHS Test and Protect staff have been called to a Renfrewshire school for the second time.
A number of pupils and staff have been told to self-isolate - along with the rest of their households.
NHS workers previously responded to a positive case at the school last Sunday.
All parents and carers of children at the school have received an update by text message following the new case, while a letter has also been sent by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
A spokeswoman for Renfrewshire Council told Paisley Daily Express: “We have worked closely with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and school staff to identify any close contacts of those who have tested positive for Covid-19, and parents and carers of any pupil identified have already been contacted.
“The household members of any contacts that have been identified since Monday, September 7 have also been asked to self-isolate due to new local restrictions announced by Scottish Government and are being given appropriate support and advice.”
She added: “Working closely with the NHS, we will continue to monitor the situation and take any further action as required.
“NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are the lead agency and advise that robust control measures are in place and the school remains safe to remain open as normal.”
