Emotional Tess Daly says she couldn't fight back the tears watching her husband Vernon Kay suffer on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
The showbiz couple didn't see each other for more than five weeks - and that lack of contact really hit home for the Strictly Come Dancing presenter.
But she says the long time apart made them appreciate each other more than ever before.
Vernon met his future wife back in 2001 and they have been married for 17 years.
He talked about her all the time in the Castle, but it was when Vernon was struggling that made Tess, 51, break down herself.
“Every time he welled up on the TV, I would find myself welling up as well," she told The Sun.
"I felt like I was going through it with him.
“I mean I was fed and never cold - but he slept on the floor for two and a half weeks, which the edit didn’t show, because he didn’t fit in the beds.
"So whenever he welled up, I felt like I was going through it with him.”
The 46-year-old former Family Fortunes host came third in this year's I'm A Celebrity.
He gushed over his doting wife in a cute social media post on Thursday as the couple prepare for Christmas.
The dad of two shared the snap with his 631,000 Instagram followers and beamed from ear to ear while Tess candidly looked away from the camera.
Alongside the cute black and while picture, Vernon joked that he was definitely not missing the basic meals that he had eaten in the camp at Gwrych Castle.
"Last nights date night....The joy of good, refuelling food and a jolly good catch up with the fam was very special!" he wrote.
"Didn’t miss rice and beans with fried rodent one bit!!!"
Vernon last week revealed that he had lost a whopping 2.5-stone weight while he starred on the ITV show.
Tess returns to host tonight's Strictly Come Dancing final at 6pm on BBC1.
