Tess Daly is ' so worried' about her daughter heading off to Reading Festival this weekend that she's sent dad Vernon to go with her.
TV Presenter Kay will be chaperoning Phoebe, 16, at the iconic music event in which Liam Gallagher and grime artist Stormzy are set to perform.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the I'm A Celeb star about his wife's concerns, Vernon said: "Phoebe is 16 and her first festival will be Reading.
"It was my first festival, too, and everything that goes on at a festival went on and it was quite daunting. So I'm going with her."
However Kay went on to reveal that he was under strict instructions from the teenager.
He said: "She said: 'You can't follow me around, you've got to leave me alone." I said: "Don't worry, I will park myself somewhere in front of a stage but if you need me, I'm there.'"
Vernon and wife Tess have been married since 2003 and have another daughter, Amber, 12.
The I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star opened up on his children's reaction to seeing their mum, Tess on television.
The Strictly Come Dancing host initially confused her daughter when she saw her on telly.
Vernon revealed on the show: "When Phoebe was watching Strictly with me, I used to dress up in a suit at first when she was young, and we'd dance together.
"So she'd put a princess dress on, I'd wear a suit and when they were all dancing around we'd replicate that.
"And just out the blue one evening she said, 'Daddy, is my mummy Tess Daly?'
"Because we'd never really explained that mummy works on the telly because obviously mummy's mummy."
Tess was a supportive wife when Vernon took part in I’m A Celebrity... last year, and despite the UK going into lockdown just weeks after Vern came third in the Wales-based show, the couple remained a “tight-knit unit”.
"It's a levelling experience. We are in it together. I mean, as a family, we've always been a tight-knit unit,” she said of spending time with her family.
“I'm very much about focusing on the positive, which at this time is, of course, extremely challenging."
Despite their challenges there's no denying Tess looks incredible for her age.
The TV host recently wowed fans with her age-defying looks as she shared a cosy loved-up selfie with her husband.
Tess, 52, took to Instagram to post the relaxed snap, in which Tess and Vernon are grinning for Britain.
“Sunday walks before a roast! how’s everyone spending your Sunday?” she asked her 767,000 followers.
Her famous friends, including Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman, Lisa Snowden and Katie Piper adored the post leaving a string of love heart emojis in the comments.
