Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's Strictly outfits stun fans on first live show

Strictly Come Dancing has always loved a bit of glitz and glam, and presenters Tess and Claudia are no exception.

The presenting pairs outfits got the new series' first live show going with a bang, as they both sported eye-catching, classy looks.

Tess, 50, went all out with the red in a jumpsuit studded with sequins.

She shared a look at the killer outfit with her nearly 500,000 Instagram followers just before the show, writing: "See you in 10."

Claudia, meanwhile, opted for a more traditional black, single-sleeved outfit, her shoulder adorned with a puff.

Fans are gushing over the pair, with one writing: "The girls are looking gooooorrrgeous @ClaudiaWinkle @TessDaly #strictly @bbcstrictly."

Another loved Tess' red look: "@TessDaly looks incredible! So glad @bbcstrictly is back!"

A third just admired the blond beauty's good looks: "Tess Daly is 50 years old. Let that sink in."

A Claudia fan was very honest: "I want to look like Claudia Winkleman."

Neil and Alex were the first to take the dance floor by storm (BBC)

Fan tweets about the outfits were pouring out during the opening moments of the show - the first couple to dance were former England footballer Alex Scott and dashing pro Neil Jones.

After the group dance routine, the pair were the first to take to the floor.

This is the first year Neil's been given a celebrity dance partner, despite his many years on Strictly.

Head judge Shirely Ballas was clearly impressed, lauding Neil: "It is so great to see you part of the show, I really appreciate your work."

Neil has been the focus of a media storm since separating from wife Katya Jones, who is also a dancer on the show and partnered with sports broadcaster Mike Bushell.
