Tess Daly admits she feels 'vulnerable' in swimwear as she talks 'body hang-ups'

Despite being praised for her age-defying looks, former model Tess Daly admits she often feels "vulnerable" in swimwear.

The Strictly Come Dancing host, 51, admits she's got "body hang-ups" just like the rest of us as the opened up about the launch of her new swimwear brand.

Tess - who tied the knot with Vernon Kay in 2003 - opened up about feeling comfortable in her own skin.

"We've all got body hang-ups, haven't we? We all feel vulnerable when we first put our swimwear on. I don't know about you but I do," she told Hello! mag.

"For example, I might want a 12 top and a 10 bottom – but with our range you can mix and match tops and bottoms to fit your body shape."

Tess and her good friend and business partner Gayle Lawton have both launched their own swimwear brand called Naia Beach.

"We all know that women appreciate a great fit, especially when it comes to swimwear. You need to feel confident in it otherwise you might end up feeling vulnerable and we want to enjoy ourselves – we're on holiday! We want to put on a swimsuit that makes us feel fabulous," she said.

"We cannot wait to wear the pieces on holiday because until this point I've been wearing them in my garden."

Tess recently revealed that she does not feel "any different" now in her fifties compared to when she was in her thirties.

Speaking to Women's Health magazine, Tess revealed how she controls her mindset, as she grows in self belief, while posing in a shiny leotard which showcased her stunning figure.

She said: "Confidence comes from cutting yourself some slack. I'm in my fifties now.

"That's still a shock when I say it out loud, because I don't feel any different to when I was in my thirties."
