Tesla boosts its Scottish presence

TESLA has been busy expanding its presence in Scotland with the addition of two new branches in Aberdeen and Glasgow, alongside the existing site in Edinburgh.

The electric car maker’s Glasgow store is the latest to open, offering sales, service and delivery. Located on Kennedy Street, off junction 15 of the M8, the 14,000sq ft operation has space to service five cars at once.

The Aberdeen location is the UK’s most northerly Tesla Centre and covers an area of more than 12,000sq ft, with facilities to service up to three cars at once.

Outside the store at Wellington Circle, there are eight 250kW superchargers supporting those who commute into Aberdeen city centre or wish to explore north-east Scotland.

Tesla Edinburgh continues to serve customers from the 20,000sq ft site next to the airport in Newbridge, with the capacity to service seven cars at one time.

Eight 250kW superchargers are located outside the store on Cliftonhall Road to help clients who commute into Edinburgh city centre and those who wish to explore the Borders or travel to Fife.

There are now 66 Tesla superchargers at 10 locations across Scotland from Gretna Green to Inverness that can charge a car in minutes rather than hours, and owners can use an app to monitor and control the process.

Tesla also operates a mobile maintenance service across mainland Scotland.
