Teskey Brothers head up musical attack at SummerSalt

WIDE APPEAL: Melbourne soul-rockers The Teskey Brothers.

GRAMMY-nominated Melbourne band The Teskey Brothers will perform their biggest ever Hunter Valley show on January 29, 2022 when they headline the SummerSalt festival at Roche Estate.

Only four years ago the soul-rockers were performing at the boutique alt-country festival, Dashville Skyline, but they've since become one of Australia's most popular bands with 1.3 million monthly Spotify listeners, a No.1 album, five ARIA Awards and in January they received a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

Joining The Tesky Brothers at SummerSalt will be legendary jazz and soul-fusion band The Cat Empire and blues and roots maestro John Butler, who is performing two intimate shows at Newcastle's Civic Theatre on May 18 and 19.

Sydney's indie-folk hit-makers Boy & Bear are also heading north after they released their acoustic album At Golden Retriever Studio last year.

Rounding out the bill will be art-pop singer Montaigne and Indigenous folk artist Emily Wurramara.

Tickets for SummerSalt are on sale this Friday from 10am at Ticketmaster.com.au.
