A supermarket worker was chased by masked thugs wielding meat cleavers during an armed robbery in Hale.
The Tesco Express store on Ashley Road, was targeted by armed robbers at around 10.45pm on Tuesdasy.
Two masked men carrying meat cleavers threatened staff and chased one terrified worker, police said.
The offenders then fled with stolen cash in a car parked outside.
Police described the vehicle as either a red Ford Fiesta or Focus.

No one was injured in the robbery.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said their enquiries were ongoing.
