The battle of the Christmas adverts has well and truly begun and let's be honest, 2020 needed something a little trivial to debate over.
The much anticipated John Lewis advert arrived on Friday with the likes of McDonald's, Aldi and Sainsbury's all giving their take on the festive tradition.
But it appears that Tesco is 'winning' shoppers over this year with some adding they have been left 'howling'.
The supermarket's ad this year showed various people confessing to 'naughty' things they did in lockdown.
This included giving their sisters 'bad hair cuts' or forgetting to sing 'happy birthday' while washing their hands.
But Tesco's message - or should we say the Santa in the advert - is that because 2020 has been a difficult year, there's 'no naughty list' and we can be forgiven for our very unusual slip-ups.
Not only that, it is supported by classic Britney Spears track 'Oops!... I Did It Again'.
And it's fair to say that viewers are absolutely loving it.
"Tesco win the Christmas advert this year! Actually made me laugh and we need that after this year," wrote one.
This was echoed by another who said: "This has to be the best Christmas Advert of 2020? @tesco."
"I'm howling at the Tesco Christmas advert. That really tickled me!" added a third.
"My favourite Christmas advert ever! Exactly what we need after 'the year we can't talk about'! Thank you @Tesco and everyone who worked on this," a fourth praised.
A fifth also added: "When @Tesco have @britneyspears #OopsIdiditagain as their christmas advert song it instantly becomes my favourite advert."
