Tesco urgently recalls chicken product which could make you sick

Tesco has recalled a batch of fried chicken buckets after traces of salmonella were found in the product.

The supermarket chain has pulled a range of SFC Take Home Boneless Buckets from its shelves and is asking customers to return them.

The 650 gram buckets affected have a best before date of November 28, 2021.

Tesco is offering customers with the product a full refund. Customers can also email an image of the product for their refund.

Tesco said on Thursday March 4: "We are recalling SFC Take Home Boneless Buckets 650G with a best before date of November 28 2021, due to the presence of Salmonella in the product."

The product recall statement adds: "Do not eat the affected product.

"Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required. "

Salmonella can make you sick, posing a danger to you health. It can cause diarrhoea, fever, and stomach cramps.

It can be found in all sorts of food like meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Symptoms usually begin six hours to six days after the food has been eaten and can last between four to seven days.

You can email a photo of the product packaging, which also clearly shows the batch code information to customerservices@sfcwholesale.co.uk
