Tesco shoppers will notice a big change to its click and collect service

There's no denying that supermarket shopping can be a real pain - even at the best of times.

Sometimes, you just don't feel like contending with a million and one trollies all charging for the reduced section, so ordering your shop online can seem like a brilliant idea.

If you don't fancy having to sit in at home waiting for it to arrive, click and collect can be a great option - though many shoppers begrudge having to pay for something that requires them to get up and leave the house, especially when the weather is so horrific.

Tesco clearly got the memo on this, and from Wednesday, has waived the fee it usually charges for its click and collect service as part of a flash sale.

The click and collect service will be free for all orders, including same-day slots.

However, all orders must be collected by 3 March if you want to be eligible for the offer.

Earlier this week Tesco urged shoppers to use up their Clubcard points before they expire on 29 February.

According to Tesco,in Manchester there are £156,198.50 worth of Clubcard vouchers that have been forgotten about for nearly two years.

Tesco says that the total value of Manchester’s unused Clubcard vouchers could cover the cost of 34,711 pizzas  from Pizza Express, 12,496 family cinema  tickets at Cineworld, 13,017 day tickets to Alton Towers.

However, Martin Lewis' website Money Saving Expert has revealed a hack to make your Clubcard points last for much longer, which can be found here.
