Tesco shoppers have vowed to 'boycott' Tesco after the supermarket giant featured a double-vaccinated Santa in its Christmas advert.
The popular supermarket's festive advert titled "This Christmas, Nothing's Stopping Us" premiered last week but has already caused a stir among anti-vaxxers.
Set to the Queen classic "Don't Stop Me Now", one scene has proven to be quite controversial and sparked a mass backlash on social media.
The scene in question is when Father Christmas shows up to Border Control with his Covid passport with a green tick and the word 'vaccinated'.
Some viewers have accused the big four grocer of "pushing an agenda" with its Christmas advert and it has prompted some to vow to get their Christmas dinner and trimmings from elsewhere this year.
After Tesco's aired, the supermarket became the target of multiple calls for people to stop shopping with them as #boycottTesco began trending on Twitter.

"Blimey, I missed this last night, but I bet Tesco bosses are sweating right now . Who the hell thought it was a good idea to show a Vaccine Passport in their Xmas advert?! I’m not surprised #BoycottTesco is trending. Idiotic" wrote one person on Twitter.
Another added: "Did I really just see a Christmas TV ad on ITV for Tesco to Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop me Now’ hit with families having fun / flying abroad etc & then a guy smiling flashing up his smart phone with a COVID passport on it?? Omg I am NEVER shopping at Tesco again."
A third shared images of cut up Tesco Club Cards from those who were more dedicated to their cause, with the caption: "#BoycottTesco is going down well then. I wonder how they’re feeling now? @Tesco take the add down!"
Quite a few Twitter users took their comments directly to the supermarket by mentioning them and leaving comments under the post that promoted the advert.

One women wrote: "This is absolutely sick. Jab passports and quarantine are not jokes. Leave it out of Christmas please."
The supermarket responded with a caption that made their own opinion clear: "This Christmas, #Nothing'sStoppingUs".
Despite receiving some criticism, the advert has received wide-spread praise from others who found the advert to be 'amusing.'
One person wrote in response to the advert: "Brilliant ad. Just had a good old laugh at some of these comments as well.
"These last 2 years have been hard on everyone and this ad was light hearted and fun. Some people need to realise its just an advert and you shouldn't judge the shop over a silly little Xmas ad."
