Tesco shoppers stockpiling Easter Eggs after spotting reductions

Tesco shoppers have been busy stocking up on Easter Eggs after spotting a half price sale.

The retailer has reduced its large eggs meaning shoppers can now get hold of selected branded eggs for £2 including KitKat, Terry's Chocolate Orange and Aero.

Last week, money-savvy shoppers were over the moon to find that medium Easter Eggs had been reduced to 75p at the supermarket, and as a result they rushed out to buy as many as they possibly could, reports MEN.

And now it looks like this latest offer has had the same impact.

Bargain hunters have taken to Twitter to share their piles of eggs, with one user tweeting alongside an image showing a row of Easter Eggs, said: "Tesco delivery as been anyone want a Easter egg I like a good offer."

The deal is proving so popular, one shopper shared an image of a sign in their local Tesco store which warned there was a 12 egg limit per transaction to prevent bulk buying.

Another user said: "Tesco extra in West Brom was completely void of bog rolls as well. The large Easter eggs were on at 2 quid so people were stockpiling those instead."

And another tweeted: "I cannot believe how many people were buying Easter Eggs in Tesco today.

"Nearly every trolley had a few in! I went in for toilet rolls but you can guess if there were any! I think I'm missing out on the Eggs though."
