Tesco shoppers arguing over £2 snack that's left some 'drooling'

Tesco is selling a new snack that has left customers 'drooling' but has also ignited a long-standing debate.

The supermarket now has Jaffa Jonuts on the shelves, with four in each box and on sale for around £2.

A picture of the new product was shared on social media group Newfoodsuk and it proved quite the talking point, racking up 10k comments.

Some were clearly excited at the prospect of trying them.

Jenny Davis said: "They look yummy might have a trip to Tesco's."

Isobel Cooper added: "Omg I'm drooling," and Tanya Herbert confessed: "I've just eaten 2 for breakfast!...well it is my birthday."

But others had more pressing matters to settle. Sadakat Khan said: "What are they now? A cake, a biscuit or a donut?"

Jason Jones added: "Now is this a cake or a biscuit?"

And Peter Lanigan said: "Is it now a cake or a biscuit, this changes the argument."

It seemed no one could make up their mind either.

Glen McCollum replied to Peter saying: "A donut. No no no a cake. No no no a biscuit I mean. Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…"

While some people had other questions.

Catherine O'Grady said: "What happened to the middle bits is what I want to know!"

Rachelle Watts added: "What do they do with the middle part that's been taken out, it was the juiciest bit. I am very upset with this!"

Guy Gladwin said: "Probably more money for less Jaffa cos the centre is missing. I'll stick to the normal ones."

And Colin Macdonald tagged a friend and said: "I would feel robbed by the fact there is already a bit missing out of the middle.".
