A Tesco shopper was shocked to find a 'hidden note' tucked inside a dress on a store sale rack.
Billie, who goes by the username @billiecait, posted about the experience on Tik Tok, with her video quickly going viral.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, the 25-year-old claims she was about to try on the red polka dot dress when she read the tag - and quickly decided against the purchase.
In the clip, which now has more than 35,000 views, she picks up the garment and zooms in on the label.
The message reads: “Smells been sprayed with Febreze.”
Billie, who had been shopping with her sister at the West Durrington Extra store, said the note gave them both a “laugh”.
One social media user gave an explanation for what could have happened while others also found the side of it.
The person claimed: "It'll be a return and they've put that note on to say they think it's been worn, but it's been put out by accident."
Billie replied: "Gave me a laugh either way."
Another person joked: "Nothing a bit of Febreze can't help."
One question remained whether the dress did smell as Billie said she didn’t want to find out.
A spokesperson for Tesco said they had no record of any clothing being put back onto the shop floor with such a label, and that items which are not in good condition are removed from the shop floor.
