Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Aldi and other supermarkets urgently recall product

Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and other supermarkets are issuing a product recall over health fears.

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).

The Food Standards Agency issues 'Product Withdrawal Information Notices' and 'Product Recall Information Notices' to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.

General Mills recalls Green Giant Original Sweetcorn because some seams may be faulty due to a packaging fault, which could make this product unsafe to eat.

The product is sold at Tesco, Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons and Sainsbury's.
