A number of major supermarkets have recalled items from their shelves - including frozen sausage rolls, peanut butter and ice cream.
Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Iceland are among the supermarkets asking customers to bring back products.
If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be "withdrawn" (taken off the shelves) or "recalled" (when customers are asked to return the product).
The Food Standards Agency issues "Product Withdrawal Information Notices" and "Product Recall Information Notices" to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.

Ben & Jerry's ice cream
Unilever is recalling Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey non-dairy ice cream because it contains almonds and walnuts and soya which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts and soya.
