Shopping during the coronavirus pandemic has certainly changed, with new measures and advice arriving almost daily.
From Perspex checkout screens to floor stickers, doing the big shop is now a totally different experience.
And that's without the addition of mandatory face coverings.
With so many new rules, it’s hard keeping up with all the latest from your favourite supermarkets, so we’ve pulled together all the latest changes from Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Lidl.
Trolley cleaning machine trial
Asda is trialling a trolley cleaning machine which will kill 99.9% of bacteria in a matter of seconds, reports EssexLive.
Asda is the first supermarket to trial the new technology.
Changes to home delivery
Sainsbury’s has started delivering all shopping in plastic bags during lockdown to speed up deliveries – but as of August 30 the supermarket reverted to bagless deliveries.
Tesco has also lifted its 80-item limit for online orders.

The two metre rule
Since July 4 the Government has allowed ‘one metre plus’ social distancing in England, but so far no supermarkets have made changes to their current two-metre rules.
Virtual queuing system trials
At the moment shoppers may have to queue-up outside stores that are limiting the amount of customers allowed in at any given time, but that could soon be about to change.
Sainsbury’s and Waitrose are trialling a virtual queuing system that lets customers wait in the car rather than standing in line.
One-way aisle systems scrapped
Tesco has ended its one-way aisle system despite some backlash from shoppers.
Morrisons, which used to have different queuing zones for trolley shoppers and basket shoppers, has removed its queuing zones in some stores.

In-store cafes have reopened
M&S, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose have reopened some in-store cafés, both for eat-in and takeaway dining.
Lidl has also reintroduced loose bakery items.
Amazon is helping Morrisons
Morrisons has deepened its partnership with Amazon, with the supermarket’s entire range now available on the online retail giant’s website for same-day delivery to many customers.
However, the service is only available in London and southern England.
