Store giant Tesco is adding some sparkle to the weekend with the return of a popular 25%-off boozy deal which could save shoppers more than £76.
Customers can take advantage of the big saving on a range of wine, cava, prosecco and champagne - including top brands such as Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot - when buying bottles of six.
The special offer, which is under way now, comes in perfect time for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend when families may be keen to add a celebratory mood to get-togethers.
In addition Tesco has a cut-price 'Christmas comes early' deal on giant tubs of chocolates with Celebrations, Cadbury Roses, Cadbury Heroes and Quality Street all on offer for £4.
A spokesman for the store said: "Customers can stock up on their favourites in time to celebrate the Bank Holiday weekend in style, along with a variety of sharing snacks and chocolates to go with them," adding that the 25% off deal on six bottles of Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Non Vintage Champagne, for instance, will save shoppers £54.
The usual cost at Tesco is £36 a bottle. Other top champagnes in the deal include Tattinger Brut Reserve NV which costs £35 in-store while even bigger savings - more than £76 - are set to be made for those able to treat themselves to the £51-a-bottle Veuve Clicquot Vintage Champagne.
But the deal applies to a range of fizz and wine including the likes of Freixenet, Tesco's finest wine selections and popular labels Villa Maria, Oyster Bay and Campo Viejo and those with less cash to splash can pick from a selection starting at just £4.75.
The 25% off six bottles offer will run until the Bank Holiday Monday, August 31.
